A new poem has been posted to "My Poetry Library".
The story that evolved in its composition was based on observations of fact, that ended up being very moving...
I'd like to know if this story does anything for you: "As If..."
I have read your poem "As If..." through the link you've provided on this post and I would like to say the poem you wrote was awesome. Poetry should be the vehicle that drives social transformation while, at the same time, preserving the art it has been made of. So, beginning today, to quote from Og Mandino, I must treat everyone I meet AS IF they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding I can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Then my life will never be the same again.
That, if I may say Napoleon, is an equally awesome response. If my poem did nothing else but make just one person do what you have said you will do here, today, that would be ample reward. I thank you.

DeleteYour poetry does what all poems should do. They(cleverly) make people think, and recognise situations in their own lives. Keep it up my friend. :0)
ReplyDeleteHey Gillie. Thank you so much for making a visit. I value your comment; a good point well made.
